Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to ask if it possible to just buy the two moulds, a king and a queen, from the mikado set mould set, without having to purchase a new complete set of moulds. This is due to the fact that due to their shape and despite my best efforts to get the moulds cast out, I have found that I will probably have to destroy the moulds I have currently to release the cast moulds and I need two of each.
Please could you give me some advice and help. Thank you for your help in advance.
Regards,
Georgina Slater
Dear Georgina
Thank you for your enquiry ... You will not need to destroy the mould to remove the cast.
REMOVAL OF A RUBBER MOULD
Coat the outside (YES the outside) of the rubber mould with washing-up liquid.
Peel the rubber mould from the base of the cast.
Take a firm grip of the base of the cast (be brave) and peel off the rubber mould.
Return the mould to the correct side, wash in warm soapy water and leave to dry.
Trust me, the rubber mould you have, was originally removed in exactly the same way, so it is possible.
If you still find it difficult, give me a ring and I can help you futher.
regards, Rob Aldous
